Description
ORIGIN & MATERIAL
This cushion is made from an antique Hungarian hand woven hemp sheet, dyed in Yakisugi (bois brûlé) color. Hemp was part of the daily life of Hungarians. All household and agricultural linen were made of hemp. The small irregularities and imperfections that this cushion may have are the result of its manual manufacturing process and part of its charm. I often work on the reverse side in order to sublimate its natural handmade seams. Traces of usage are part of the natural characteristic of all our vintage textile and its history.
Handmade with love in Belgium. Please also handle with love and care.
INTERIOR
All the interiors are made of 100% feather.
Each piece is removable with zip closure.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Each piece being old, be soft and gentle with cleaning, do not wash the fabric if you don’t need to. Can be washed at cold temperatures, delicate program (maximum of 30 degrees), but preferably by hand, with an organic and natural detergent. No dryer.

PHILOSOPHY
All my creations are unique, entirely handmade, with vintage hemp found in Europe and more particularly in France and in the eastern Europe countries.
All the hemp pieces sourced are on average between 50 and 120 years old.
Once the hemp piece is cleaned and prepared, I decide either to keep it natural or to dye it in organic and natural, earthy colors.
My signature: to sublimate a defect in the material, a seam, a weaving defect, a patch…
Sensitive to the protection of our environment, and the questioning of overabundance and superfluity, I work in a sustainable and upcylcing approach.
My goal is to give a second life to high quality fabrics, hand woven in an ancestral way, to pay tribute to the work of man.
Buy it if you heartily share this philosophy with us.
